I preached my first sermon in Monticello, AR at a small country church when I was only 14 years old!  After hours of studying and every bit of effort I could come up with, it was done in 10 minutes.  I was not interested in ever doing that again.  As I studied through High School, I chased my passion for art.  When I was 17 years old, I really felt God revisiting those old feelings from when I was 14 and I felt that He wanted me to go into ministry in some aspect.  For me, this meant youth ministry and therefore that is what I received my degree from at Welch College in Nashville, TN.  Through all of those studies, I began to work in churches in a variety of positions in Missouri and Tennessee.  After falling in love with my wife Jenna, getting married, and then falling in love with the Pittsburgh, PA  area, we moved to Greensburg to assist in planting Keystone Church as youth ministers.  Having never been interested in pastoring because I was not like what was expected of a pastor, God slowly began to reveal to me that I am who He created me to be and who He called me to be, and those do not have to contradict.  I have now spent about 20 years in ministry and serve as the lead pastor at Keystone.  When God finished showing me who He wanted me to be, I have found that I am never more happy than when I am serving the God that Created me.  Now me, my wife, and our two kids spend our days loving the city God called us to reach.

Growing up as a preacher’s kid, I sang in church choir and sang special, little songs, literally every Sunday. From my earliest childhood memory, music has had the ability to speak to the very depths of my soul like nothing else can. When I left Pennsylvania to attend college in Nashville, TN, I knew God wanted me to come back to Pennsylvania to serve in churches, but I had no idea how or what I could offer. When the time came to go back to Pennsylvania, the music ministry position was open. I felt under-qualified and unprepared, but I knew music ministry was what God was calling me to. I have the privilege of serving, not only as pastor’s wife but also as worship leader at Keystone and worshipping with some of the finest people I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. God has given me a phenomenal worship team to work with. Every week, we are given the chance to share Truth through music and Scripture. Through this journey in ministry, I’ve learned that God does not always call the equipped, but He ALWAYS equips those He has called.

I began preaching at the age of 17 and at the age of 19 I became a pastor for the first time. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Pam for 37 years. We have 3 adult daughters and 6 grandchildren. We moved from Arkansas to the Pittsburgh area in 1995 to plant churches. Our first church plant was in Cranberry Twp. Our second church plant in Greensburg began in 2007. In 2013, I felt led of the Lord to pursue a degree in Professional Counseling which I completed in May 2015. I currently serve as pastor of member care and counseling. I enjoy walking with individuals on their journey to health and thriving in their walk with God.
